EdgeMode Inc. and Mora, Spain have formalized a memorandum of understanding to develop a major 300 MW data center campus called DC Malpica.
EdgeMode Inc. has reached a formal agreement with the Spanish municipality of Mora to pursue the development of a large-scale data center campus, according to an announcement distributed via GlobeNewswire. The memorandum of understanding — a nonbinding but strategically significant step — signals mutual commitment from both the company and the city to advance the project known as DC Malpica, targeting a capacity of 300 megawatts.
At 300 MW, the DC Malpica campus would qualify as a hyperscale-class facility, the tier of infrastructure that typically underpins cloud computing, artificial intelligence workloads, and enterprise data storage at the largest scale. Projects of this magnitude require substantial land, stable power supply, and favorable regulatory environments — factors that make an MOU with a local government an essential early milestone before any capital deployment begins.
